Participation in the In Situ Graduate School Cultural Precarities: Reading Independent Art Collectives and Cultural Networks in Asia is open to artists, social sciences and humanities graduate students (doctoral and research master's), independent researchers, cultural practitioners and 'artivists' worldwide whose work deals with the theme of the ISGS.

You must apply for participation in the ISGS using the online application form below. Application forms sent in after the deadline (10 August 2020, extended deadline) will not be considered for selection. All complete applications will be evaluated after the deadline and the selection results will be communicated (via email) before 1 September 2020.

Your application is complete when you upload below in PDF or as ZIP file (max. 8 MB) either

  • A piece of research writing (published or unpublished) of approximately 4000-5000 words
    or
  • A portfolio of curated creative works (comprising artworks, speeches, writings, images, field research, inclusive of hyperlinks, etc.) that speaks to the  theme. This should not exceed 30 pages.
